This course offers a progression route from HND: Additional Support Needs: Managing and Supporting the Services, HND: Social Sciences or HND Childhood Practice.

This degree focuses on those in our society who require support for a variety of reasons; looking at the historical treatment of those with support needs and how we develop inclusive societies.

You will study:
Research methodology; Psychology and social development; Inclusive practice; Educational policy and practice; History of learning difficulties; Preparing for research.

Entry Requirements

Relevant HNC; interview.

Progression Routes

Postgraduate courses in social work, primary school teaching, secondary school teaching or social work (check entry requirements with individual universities).
