This course is for you if you wish to work within the childhood Practice sector. This is a practice qualification and workplace experience is included. You will also be able to register with the Scottish Social Services Council.

You will learn about:

Supporting Play Learning and Development; Care in Contemporary Society; Leadership; Health Wellbeing and Safeguarding; Lifespan Development Theoretical Approaches; Supporting Language Literacy and Numeracy.

Every Tuesday and Thursday: 6-9pm.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers preferably including English; or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services (Children and Young People) or Social Services and Healthcare plus 1 Higher, preferably English; or NC Childhood Practice (Level 6). You will attend an interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.

BA Childhood Practice or HND Additional Support Needs
