This ESOL Gateway to Care Work course is designed for non-native speakers of English who are interested in a career in the social care sector.

During this ESOL Gateway to Care Work course you will study:
SQA National 4 Care; Employability units (SCQF level 5); Personal development units (SCQF level 5); Industry recognised qualifications; ESOL in Context National 5.

Entry Requirements

National 4 ESOL (Minimum of 2 units achieved). An interest in working in the social care sector. Interview. You will be required to provide evidence of current English level and you may be required to do an assessment to ensure you are offered a class at the correct level.

Progression Routes

Successful students may progress onto social care courses at Glasgow Clyde College.
