This course is designed for individuals interested in creating various forms of content, such as words, pictures, sound, video, and graphics, for diverse purposes. Suitable for beginners or those with basic experience, it emphasizes hands-on projects, teamwork, problem-solving, and practical skills, with assessments based on project completion rather than exams.

This course could lead to the HNC and HND in Media Communications where projects include working with external partners and groups to create content for their needs.

You'll learn how to respond to a creative brief, plan and execute content creation for a variety of outputs including; Radio, Television, Video, Podcasts etc.

You’ll learn the tricks and techniques to create engaging content designed to entertain or inform audiences.

You'll contribute to the college's BOOM Student Radio station too, and have the opportunity to work on external projects

Progression Routes

After successful completion you can join the Short Full-Time Intermediate Certificate: Broadcast Media at SCQF Level 5 starting in February of the following year
