You will develop the business skills you need to make a valuable contribution to the rural industries or smaller enterprises. The HNC offers an excellent opportunity to gain a broad business qualification either for career progression or as a springboard to further study.

The HNC in Rural Business Management can be accessed as a standalone qualification or the first stage of an exciting four year journey, progressing from HNC to HND, then upwards and onwards to a B.A. and ultimately to graduating with a B.A.(Hons) in Rural Business Management. The HNC can be studied either full time (one year) or part-time (two years).

Content includes: Economic Issues: An Introduction; Financial Records for Small Business; Human Resource Management; Environmental Awareness.

2 Highers plus English and Maths at National 5, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
