This Engineering Pre-Apprenticeship Programme Scottish Power (electrical engineering) course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to join Scottish Power as an apprentice on their Modern Apprenticeship Programme.

Glasgow Clyde College has a longstanding relationship with Scottish Power for delivering this programme that offers you a level 5 qualification and industry training in electrical engineering.

Content:
Fundamental electrical principles; Basic electrical systems; Protection; Basic electrical installation skills; Health and safety at work; Mathematics; Information technology; Communication.

You will receive a monthly allowance of £200 as a contribution towards travel and any course expenses.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5 including Maths and English or a science subject. Interview.

Progression Routes

Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation (SVQ at SCQF Level 7) or HNC Electrical Engineering.
