Content

The primary purpose of this course is to build an appropriate portfolio for future study within art and design, the main focus being fine art and applied design. The course will also develop skills, knowledge and understanding across a broad range of art and design areas, including the critical skills necessary for advanced level study in this field.

In addition to portfolio building, students will have the opportunity to develop appropriate levels of communication, creativity, interpersonal skills, independent working skills and group work skills, which can lead to advanced study. Students will study SQA Units at Level 6/7 on this course.

Printmaking; Visual Presentation; Life Drawing; Cultural Identity; Sculpture; Core Skills; Mixed Media; Personal Project Work; Portfolio Production; Drawing; Sketchbooks

Entry Requirements

Higher Art and Design plus National 4 English, or NC Art and Design, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. All applicants must provide suitable portfolio of work; interview.
