Content

This course will enable the learner to investigate and learn about the broad range of health and social care roles in Scotland and beyond. The course consists of units which will encourage exploration of current health and social care topics and opportunities. Completion of the course will enable access to a wide range of HNC courses or employment. Further learning opportunities from HNC could include access to nursing and social work degrees.

You will study a variety of outcomes that will offer a broad view of health and social care. Units will include values and principles, human development, prevention of infection, mental health, psychology, numeracy and academic study skills. This will enable you to experience a range of health and social care destinations.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 at A or B including English; or Intermediate Certificate: Health and Social Care (Level 5); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
