Laying the foundations for you as a learner; this course explores key areas to support your knowledge and understanding and that will enable you to progress in your learning journey towards a career in Early Learning and Childcare.

On this course students will have the opportunity to begin to develop their understanding of child development and key concepts related to the importance of play and learning; particularly the benefits of learning outdoors. Students will have the opportunity to apply their learning to practice, by engaging with young learners when they visit the college campus.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however motivation for study is essential. Entry is by interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
