Year one of the HND Sports Therapy is a practical course with a strong theoretical component. Providing you with an industry-recognised qualification, this year of the course develops the knowledge and skills required to work as a Soft Tissue Therapist.

This course is ideal if you want to work with sportspeople with soft-tissue concerns.

Year 2 will improve the skills, competencies and techniques you learned in your first year (HNC Soft Tissue Therapy), and build on the practical opportunities previously gained to enhance your industry experience. This will include running Edinburgh College-based sports clinics and having more responsibility at previously attended events.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers; preferably English and a science subject; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
