This course is ideal for those who have a clear career path via HN or Degree level study but have left school with few qualifications. It would also suit those students who prefer a gradual trajectory to degree studies. Successful completion of this course will see you progress to the NQ Level 6 and beyond. This course will populate your academic record with a robust qualification, indeed, if you pass all the units you will be awarded an NC Level 5.
You will complete 18 credits based on the SQA Social Science units at Level 5. These units will prepare you for studying at a Higher level and provide you with many functional skills that you can transfer to a range of careers. You will work a crime scene in Criminology, examine the American Civil Rights movement, understand how minorities can influence your thoughts in Psychology, and work together to raise money for a good cause. The college will also improve your core skills such as IT, Communications and Numeracy, which will prepare you for the next levels.
