A typical European Politics programme would cover:

Year 1: Politics and Policy, The Changing World Order and 4 other modules which could include Political Ideologies.

Year 2: Comparative Politics, Contemporary European Studies and 4 other modules which could include International Relations.

Year 3: Theorising Politics, Politics of the EU, two other modules from Governing the USA, Politics of Transatlantic Relations, Russia and the ex-USSR, Contemporary British Politics, Contemporary Irish Politics.

Year 4: Dissertation on a European Politics topic, Contemporary European Studies module, two modules from Gender, Power and Sexuality, US Foreign Policy, International Peacekeeping, Scottish Politics, Environmental Politics, International Political Economy, International Politics of Crime and Terrorism.

Entry Requirements

2024 entry requirements:
4 Highers at AABB (BBBB for widening access entry) plus English at National 5.

Advanced entry to 2nd year available with Advanced Highers at AB and Highers at BB.
