The Social Sciences HNC will help you to find answers to the bigger questions in our society.

You will examine why it is that some people do not fit in; if democracy works; if young offenders should be imprisoned and what it is that makes people commit acts of terrorism.

If you want to find out what is happening around you: in your home, in your street, in society and in the world, then this is the course for you.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher, preferably English, History or Modern Studies. You will be asked to attend for interview.

For some optional modules you will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
