This is the only undergraduate course in Scotland that combines Fine Art with Philosophy, two subject areas in which we excel. The course provides a strong foundation to enable you to develop a successful career across the spectrum of creative industries. Our graduates have gone on to exhibit in major international arts venues, curate groundbreaking exhibitions, and undertake significant academic research at some of the top universities in the world. This course widens the choice of future pathways for artists and theorists.

You are free to explore a wide range of mediums as your practice evolves. These may include: Painting; Sculpture; Printmaking; Photography; Film; Installation; Performance; Sound.

Entry Requirements

2025 entry requirements:
Advanced Highers at BB plus Highers at BB preferably including Art and Design or an English based subject; or Art and Design (General Foundation) Degree Year 1 (WW12). You must submit a portfolio of work and attend an interview.
