This course builds on your skills and knowledge gained on the HNC about human behaviour and society. You'll develop a deeper awareness and understanding of social and cultural issues relevant to modern society.
Here's just some of what you'll be doing:
Critically examine psychological debates such as nature/nurture, free will and determinism, and ethics; Analyse sociological theories and debates underpinning current topical issues; Evaluate the structures and relationships within the European Union and American Political Systems; Study major events in American history and evaluate their social and political impacts; and, Examine the issues surrounding research in social sciences and carry out an investigative project of your choice.
HNC Social Sciences with a minimum of 15 credits and a B pass in the Graded Exam Unit. Entry subject to interview.
2nd or 3rd year entry to a relevant degree programme or employment.
