This course provides a foundation understanding of what society and social behaviour are all about and the opportunity to examine your own life and lives of others in your local area, Scotland, the UK and across the world.
You will look in detail at the reasons why people do what they do and will explore the personal, social, political and historical reasons for different behaviours. You will be encouraged to expand your mind and see a much bigger picture of society.
This course lays foundations for lifelong learning and helps develop transferable skills such as problem solving, time management and social awareness all of which will help you progress with your studies and boost your CV and future career prospects.
Content may include: Psychology, Sociology, Modern Studies, Criminology, History, Communication, Philosophy.
3 subjects at National 4 including English and a social science subject. National 4 Maths or Applications of Maths is preferred. Or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4.
