This course will provide you with a sound grounding within the three core areas essential to any applied sports scientist, being Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics and Sports Psychology.

Alongside these key areas, you will also gather an introduction to other essential components and gain practical experience that will enable you to develop skills that will benefit any level of performer. There is the opportunity to undertake a work placement as part of this course.

2024 entry requirements

Standard entry:
4 Highers at BBBB including a science subject plus English, Maths and a science subject at National 5. Higher Physical Education will be accepted instead of a science subject if studied alongside Higher Maths.

Widening access entry:
4 Highers at BBCC including a science subject at B plus English, Maths and a science subject at National 5. Higher Physical Education will be accepted instead of a science subject if studied alongside Higher Maths.

For entry to year 2 you require 3 Advanced Highers at BBC including Biology.
