The course equips you with transferable, future-focused skills that support long-term career progression within the travel and tourism industry.

You will study a broad and engaging introduction to the travel and tourism industry. You will get familiar with tourist destinations in Scotland and beyond, local tourism product knowledge and the principles of sustainable travel and tourism. You will explore customer service and customer care, developing communication and interpersonal skills for visitor- facing roles. You will be introduced to tour guiding, teamwork and employability skills, helping you to understand workplace expectations. In addition, you will study basic marketing principles, social media literacy and sustainability topics such as food waste, giving you a well-rounded understanding of modern, responsible tourism practice.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.
