Cyber security is an ongoing key priority for individuals, businesses, and government in order to protect against digital threats to personal data and business systems. Skills to help prevent attacks are in short supply and this course aims to equip students with the knowledge required to progress to a career in cyber security.

Students on this course will learn the principals of cyber resilience, from ethical hacking to data recovery.

Subjects Include:
Digital Forensics; Ethical Hacking; Data Security; Computer Programming; Computer Networking: Concepts, Practice, and Introduction to Security; Multi User Operating Systems; Professionalism and Ethics in Cyber Security; Computer Architecture; Troubleshooting Computing Problems; Scripting for Security.

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers including Maths (or Applications of Maths), Computing Science or a science or technological subject; or NC Computing (with Cyber Security) (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
