This is an exciting, intensive course focusing on nail care techniques and treatments. It covers popular techniques like nail art, gel polish and tips with overlays and gives you a well-rounded foundational knowledge which will help you take your first step into the beauty industry. Nail this course and you could progress to the next level of beauty therapy training, get employment at a salon or even go it alone as a nail technician.

You'll learn the basic applications of nail treatments, including manicure, pedicure, and develop skills in applying nail art, tips with overlays, gel polishing and other related subjects to NC level 5.

During training you will initially work on fellow classmates and then progress to working on real clients. You will also be required to model for treatments yourself.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.

Progression Routes

You could move into jobs in the beauty industry or progress onto further courses to develop your skills further.
