The course prepares you for a wide range of roles in the sports sector, with core units in Coaching Theory, Sports Development, Professional Practice, and Anatomy and Physiology. You will complete the industry-recognised PDA in Sports Coaching, certified by Sportscotland and CIMSPA & build a coaching and sports development portfolio through self-arranged placements, supported by our strong links with Active Schools, Fife Sport and Leisure Trust, Active Fife, national governing bodies of sport, local clubs and schools.

Subjects Include:
PDA Sports Coaching Practitioner: Knowing Self, Knowing Others, Knowing Coaching; Sports Development; Sports Coaching and Development: Developing professional practice; Human Anatomy, Physiology and Biomechanics; Strength and Conditioning; Psychology of Sport and Exercise; Personal Development Planning; Graded Unit - allows the candidate to explore a topic that is of particular relevance to their own Future career aspirations.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers; English or Physical Education preferred; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6; interview.
