Content:

Tools of the trade; Marking out and forming basic timber joints; Manufacturing a range of timber frames; Real world projects; Industry exploration; Health and safety; and Essential skills.

Course duration note: Ayr Campus - full time at 36 weeks / Kilmarnock 2 x 18 weeks.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. Entry subject to interview and/ or practical test.

Progression Routes

Pre-apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery (Level 5); or Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship.
