Cyber Security is an ongoing key concern for business and government to protect against digital threats, from personal data to business systems. Skills to help prevent attacks are in short supply and this course aims to equip students with the knowledge required to progress to a career in cyber security. When studying this course you will learn the basics of cyber resilience, from ethical hacking to data recovery.

Modules include:
Digital Forensics; Ethical Hacking; Data Security; Computer Programming; Computer Networking: Concepts, Practice and Introduction to Security; Multi User Operating Systems; Professionalism and Ethics in Cyber Security; Computer Architecture; Troubleshooting Computing Problems; Scripting for Security; HNC Cyber Security: Graded Unit 1 (Examination).

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers including Maths or Applications of Maths, Computing Science or a science or technological subject + 4 subjects at National 5 at B including English and Maths or Applications of Maths; Computing Science preferred; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
