This course is fun, fascinating and completely industry led. You'll work with professional make-up companies, photographers, theatres and creative media organisations.

You'll build a high-quality e-portfolio of your creations as you go. Due to Make-up Artistry being such a fast-changing industry our aim is always to ensure that your course develops the current skills and knowledge required for positive progression, therefore some of what you study on the course may change.

Here's just some of what you may study:

You can:

learn hairstyling and make-up techniques for the 20th century; explore the art of ageing make-up for TV and theatre; master special effects make-up; prosthetic skills by sculpting; and, build a portfolio that covers the roles and responsibilities of a production team.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher, preferably English or Art and Design; or Contemporary Make-up Artistry (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Hairdressing experience would be beneficial. You will need to show various samples of your artwork or photography evidence of make-up.
