This course is designed to provide you with a strong understanding of Early Learning and Childcare. You’ll learn the theory behind daily practice and gain the skills to lead and support children’s learning through practical play experiences with the local community. The valuable qualities you’ll develop will not only make you perfect for a career in Early Years, but can be transferred to other aspects of life, education and work.
This course will develop your skills and knowledge in the following areas:
development of children and young people in an education setting; supporting language, literacy and numeracy; protecting and supporting children’s rights; and, providing an inclusive curriculum in childhood practice.
No formal entry requirements. The course is specifically for adults who have been out of full-time education for at least 5 years. Entry subject to interview and reference.
