This course equips you with fundamental knowledge and skills essential for roles as a competent beauty technician or makeup counter specialist. It also offers a pathway for further study to achieve your goal of becoming a qualified beauty therapist.

You will study: Facial skin care; Enhance the appearance of eyebrows and eyelashes; Waxing services; Manicure services; Pedicure services; Develop and maintain effectiveness at work; Promote services or products to customers; Health and safety; Make-up services; Salon reception duties; Health and safety; Gel nails; Essential Skills for employment will be developed and certificated on this course.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English and a science subject, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. You must have manual dexterity, interpersonal skills and a good understanding of the beauty industry. Interview.
