This course provides an integrated programme of theory and practice at Level 6 and aims to enable you to work effectively in certain posts within the field of Early Education and Childcare.

Subjects include: Communication; Developing an Understanding of Working with Children; Child Development Theory; Services for Children and Young People; Play in Early Education and Childcare; Child Development.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 including English; or NQ Childcare (Level 5); interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
