You will be part of a dynamic and broad portfolio class, which will give you the necessary experience for application to Art College. Enjoy exploring new media and processes, working in a range of environments, including outdoors wherever possible. Learn from experienced tutors and professional artists as you progress through your projects. At the end of the year, you will showcase your work in a full-scale exhibition, managed and led by the class.

The course may run with students working at 2 levels. The college will ascertain which level is best for you at interview after viewing current samples of your work and informal discussion. Students will achieve either: NC Art & Design SCQF level 6 if the required units are successfully completed, alternatively you may study and achieve NQ Art & Design SCQF level 5.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including English and Art and Design. Entry subject to interview and portfolio of work.
