Take your first steps towards a career in Early Years with our Access to Early Learning and Childcare Level 4 course. In just 18 weeks, you can gain the confidence and skills needed to work in the sector. You may also gain a Steps to Work award. This course provides a fast track path for those keen to make a difference in children's lives.
This course includes practical experiences with essential theory. Here’s just some of what you may learn:
how to care for children of different ages; the importance of the family; how to plan for stay and play session; how to prepare a healthy snack for children; meta skills: develop focusing and feelings; transferable skills: build ICT and Digital Skills; and, technical skills: boost self-confidence and teamwork abilities.
No formal entry requirements. Interview.
Early Learning and Childcare (Level 5), or other relevant course at SCQF Level 5 or employment.
