UHI Inverness is the largest college in the Highlands and Islands, and the largest of the 13 academic partners of the University of the Highlands and Islands.

The college has a new main campus in Inverness, in the Beechwood building, as well as the Scottish School of Forestry at Balloch, 7 miles from Inverness city centre. 

The college offers more than 200 courses ranging from Access to degree and beyond, and has over 6,000 students studying at Inverness College and around 800 staff.

Courses and subjects

Courses are available at all levels including introductory, NC, HNC, HND, degree and postgraduate. Industry and vocational qualifications are also on offer.

Courses are taught in the following subject areas: Business, Leisure and Tourism; Computing and IT; Creative Industries; Education and Childcare; Energy, Engineering and Construction; Gaelic Medium Studies; Health and Wellbeing;  Humanities and Social Sciences; and Science and Environment.

Facilities and services

The college has training kitchens, workshops, hair and beauty salon, digital media studios and a performing arts studio, as well as a learning centre.

The new campus has a major sports complex which includes indoor tennis, all weather pitches, studios and games halls.
