Founded in 1874, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is Scotland’s centre of vocational training in the performing arts. It is the only place in Europe where you can study all of the performing arts on one campus.

The Conservatoire's campus is based at Renfrew Street in Glasgow's city centre, and their dance, rehearsal and production arts facility, Wallace Studios, is a ten minute walk to the north of the city centre, on Garscube Road.

A wide range of postgraduate opportunities are available in both music, drama and education.

You may be able to spend some time abroad, with comparable institutions in North America, Asia and Australasia or through participating in international theatre and music festivals.

The Conservatoire teaches students from over 50 countries.

Each year students take part in more than 500 concerts, performances and events in each of its professional venues, as well as others UK wide and abroad.

Facilities and services

The city centre campus is a modern building with outstanding facilities – including auditoria, concert halls, theatres, recording and percussion studios and more than 90 practice rooms and rehearsal studios. Social spaces and catering facilities are located here. The library also has one of the most comprehensive collections on performing arts in the UK.

The Wallace Studios on Garsube Road is a purpose-built facility which is home to production arts and design facilities, ballet studios and a suite of large ensemble rehearsal rooms. Its neighbours include the National Theatre of Scotland and Scottish Opera.
