This qualification covers the technical needs for today’s motorcycle repair industry, including the diagnosis of non-complex system faults.
It provides essential knowledge for service technicians working in motorcycle garages and dealerships.
The qualification is recognised by the Sector Skills Council as a VRQ/Technical Certificate and can be used as knowledge evidence in a related Modern Apprenticeship programme.
This programme involves studying both the theory and practical aspects of:
Carrying Out Routine Maintenance; Removing and Replacing: Engine Units and Components, Electrical; Auxiliary Units and Components, Chassis/Frame Units and Components; Assessments are in a dedicated motorcycle workshop environment and by online multiple choice testing.
Motorcycle Mechanics (Level 4), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4.
