This course is designed to give students a professional qualification recognised by the beauty industry. Students will develop skills in relation to a wide range of facial, body and complementary therapies. They will also gain in depth product knowledge and be able to offer clients' lifestyle advice.

Other topics covered include make-up for special occasions and spa treatments. As part of the programme, students get the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience through working in the College’s commercial salon.

Professional Salon Skills; Anatomy and Physiology for Beauty Therapy; Promotional and Selling Skills; Advanced Epilation; Product Knowledge; Eyelash Enhancements; Advanced Waxing; Lifestyle Advice for Clients; Contemporary Aesthetic Treatments; Aromatherapy; Reflexology; Make-up for Special Occasions; Eyebrow Artistry; Electrical Epilation; Face and Body Treatment Packages; Contemporary Spa Massage; Signature Massage; Liquid and Powder Nail Enhancements; Spa Treatments; Graded Unit 1; Graded Unit 2; Light Curing Gel Enhancements.

Entry Requirements

NC Beauty Care (Level 6) or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and research task. Students must be 17 and will be required to purchase relevant items of equipment and clothing.
