This course is designed to give students a professional qualification recognised by the beauty industry. Students will develop skills in relation to a wide range of facial, body and complementary therapies. They will also gain in depth product knowledge and be able to offer clients' lifestyle advice.

Other topics covered include make-up for special occasions and spa treatments. As part of the programme, students get the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience through working in the College’s commercial salon.

Professional Salon Skills; Anatomy and Physiology for Beauty Therapy; Promotional and Selling Skills; Electrical Epilation Advanced; Product Knowledge; Liquid and Powder Nail Enhancements; Light Curing Gel Nail Enhancements; Depilation Advanced; Lifestyle Advice for Clients; Contemporary Aesthetic Treatments; Aromatherapy Massage; Reflexology; Contemporary Spa Massage; Spa Treatments; Signature Massage; Face and Body Electrotherapy; Advanced Face & Body Therapy Techniques; Electrical Epilation; Face and Body Treatment Packages; Graded Unit 1; Graded Unit 2.

Entry Requirements

NC Beauty Care (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and research task. Students must be 17 and will be required to purchase relevant items of equipment and clothing.
