This course develops skills and knowledge for a career in hairdressing and the service industries. Learners will develop competence and efficiency in all aspects of hairdressing and the ability and confidence to meet the needs of the hairdressing industry. You will be required to participate in a work placement one day per week.

Content includes:
Provide client consultation services; Creatively cut hair using a combination of techniques; Creatively style and dress hair; Creatively colour and lighten hair.

Optional units selected by Forth Valley College:
Develop and enhance your creative hairdressing skills; Contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of promotional activities; Hair colour correction services.

Entry Requirements

Hairdressing (City and Guilds) Level 2. Candidates must achieve the Certificate in Contact Dermatitis Prevention prior to enrolment. This is a one day course and the cost is approximately £50.
