This course develops skills and knowledge for a career in hairdressing and the service industries. Learners will develop competence and efficiency in all aspects of hairdressing and the ability and confidence to meet the needs of the hairdressing industry. You will be required to participate in a work placement one day per week.

Content includes:
Implement and maintain safe, hygienic and effective working practices; Consult, assess, plan and prepare for hair services; Style and dress hair using a variety of techniques; Combine hairdressing cutting techniques to create a bespoke restyled look; Creatively, set, style, dress and finish hair using advanced techniques; Creatively colour and lighten the hair using advanced techniques; Provide hair colour correction services; Develop, enhance and evaluate your creative hairdressing skills; Provide hair smoothing treatments.

Entry Requirements

Hairdressing (VTCT) Level 2.
