This exciting course will get you ready for working in the beauty industry or for going on to higher level courses. You’ll learn a huge range of cosmetic application techniques that have been designed to help you develop your creative skills, working on your fellow classmates and then progressing onto real clients (you’ll be a model for treatments, too!). The course covers the basic skills you need to carry out face and make-up treatments.

During this NQ Beauty with Make-Up Artistry Course you will develop creative skills in the application of various make-up techniques and learn the basic skills in face and nail treatments and related subjects to NQ Level 5.

During training you will initially work on fellow classmates and then progress to working on real clients. You will also be required to model for treatments yourself.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview.

Progression Routes

You could move into jobs in the beauty industry, spas, cruise ships or progress onto further courses to develop your skills further.
