Content

This course will help you develop practical skills in a wide range of beauty therapy treatments. You’ll learn how to effectively provide facial skincare, manicures and pedicures (including gel nail polish and artificial nail enhancements), make-up, waxing, and eyelash and brow treatments.

You will also enhance your understanding of client care and communication, product promotion and how to carry out reception duties.

The experienced staff will guide you as you learn in a realistic work environment, providing excellent salon experience for progression to employment.

Course incldues:
Working on real clients; Client consultation and health and safety; Facial skincare; Waxing treatments; Manicure and pedicure, including gel polish; Artificial nail enhancements; Lash and brow treatments; Reception duties and selling techniques; Underpinning knowledge for beauty therapy services, including anatomy and physiology.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 5, preferably including English; or Introduction to Beauty Therapy (Level 4); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5
