This course will build on your existing basic hairdressing skills and help you develop more creative techniques suited to the current industry. All technical units on this course not only allow you to hone your existing skills additionally, but you will also develop creativity and advanced techniques.

You will study:
Hair Colouring and Lightening; Colour Correction; Combination Cutting; Creative Cutting and Styling; Style Dress and Finish Hair; Styling for a Total Look; Long Hair; Commercial Experience; Current Make-up Trends.

Work experience is an essential part of the course, so you'll be required to be in work placement in a hairdressing salon one day a week for the full duration of your course.

Entry Requirements

NC Hairdressing Multi Skills (Level 5), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Advice session and interview.
