The sports therapy course will equip you with the skills required to help prevent injury and rehabilitate clients back to full fitness. The first year of the course focuses heavily on sports massage and will give you an industry recognised qualification on completion. The second year of the course focuses on the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions arising from sporting activity.

You'll also get the opportunity to work in our sports injury clinic, developing skills in clinical assessment, devising treatment plans and providing physical therapies. You may also be involved in pre and post match and touchline support for sporting events.

Year one

Clinical Sports Massage; Functional Anatomy; Pathology and Aetiology of Sports Injuries; Anatomy and Physiology; First Aid.

Year two

Clinical Assessment; Functional Anatomy 2; Taping Techniques; Electrotherapy; Plan and Deliver Exercise Rehabilitation; Biomechanics and Movement Patterns.

Entry Requirements

2 relevant Highers; or NQ Sports Therapy; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Entry subject to interview.
