This course offers a comprehensive foundation in essential hairdressing skills, providing you with all the techniques needed to become a professional stylist.
You will master key areas such as shampooing, blow-drying, haircutting (for both ladies and gents), and colouring. As part of the programme, you'll also participate in a commercial night, gaining hands-on experience working with your own clients in a real salon environment. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to compete in industry competitions, allowing you to showcase your skills and gain recognition.
Throughout the course, guest speakers from the hairdressing industry will visit the college to share career insights, perform live demonstrations, and keep you updated with the latest trends and innovations in the field.
2 subjects at National 4 including English; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview and pre-entry test.
Possible progression to NQ Hairdressing (Level 6).
