This course is aimed at those interested in a career in the hairdressing industry, and offers possible progression on to NC level 6 hairdressing.

The course covers shampooing, conditioning, scalp massages, blow-drying hair, haircutting (ladies and gents), applying and removing colour, long-hair techniques, using rollers and perm rods to create styles. It also covers essential skills in retail, reception, communications and IT.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 4 including English; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Interview and written test.

Progression Routes

Possible progression to NC Hairdressing (Level 6).
