Content

The Integrated Masters is a five year programme: years 1 to 4 consist of core technology and education subjects plus school experience. Year 5 consists of two taught courses and a dissertation.

Years 1 and 2
You will study subjects including technology craft, design, graphics, electronics, mechanics and mathematics. In addition, there will be also be a focus on learning theory and teaching.

Years 3 and 4
In years 3 and 4 you will further develop your skills across a range of technology courses by exploring
themes such as technology and society, materials and sustainable resources. In year 4, you will select
an elective study in either Advanced 3D design or Engineering systems & robotics. You will also undertake a final-year project that will develop your skills in practitioner enquiry.

Year 5
In year 5 you will continue your study of education, research methods and practitioner enquiry in the form of a dissertation.

Entry Requirements

2025 entry requirements

Standard entry: 5 Highers at AAABB (by end S6) including English and a science subject plus Maths or Applications of Maths at National 5 at B.

Widening access entry: 4 Highers at AABB/BBBB (by end S6) including English and a science subject plus Maths at National 5 at B. Completion of pre-entry programme is necessary.

Entry subject to interview.
