Are you good with people, hardworking and creative? Then this could be the course for you! Our Commercial Skills Course in Hairdressing (SCQF Level 5), will enable you to build basic hairdressing skills and enable you to follow a career in hairdressing.
This course is designed to develop your skills and knowledge in basic hair cutting, colouring and styling and prepare you for further study and/or employment as a trainee hairstylist within a salon.
Units can include:
Shampooing and Conditioning Hair; Styling Hair; Cutting Hair; Colouring Hair; Long Hair Work; Competition Work; Commercial Salon; Work Experience.
Units may vary across campuses.
No formal entry requirements, however good communication skills and a keen interest in hairdressing are essential. National 4 or 5 Skills for Work: Hairdressing would be an advantage.
