This course's practical activities and knowledge-based tasks will enable you to enhance your existing barbering skills and explore and develop your creativity both in commercial barbering and commercial shaving.

Units may include:

Develop and Enhance Your Creative Hairdressing Skills; Creatively Cut hair using a Combination of Barbering Techniques; Design and Create a Range of Facial Hair Shapes; Design and Create Patterns in Hair; Provide Client Consultation Services; Provide Shaving Services; Contribute to a Promotional Activity; Commercial Experience.

The above units are examples of what will be delivered within this course but some units may vary across campuses.

You will be required to undertake weekly attendance in college incorporating a commercial salon (this may include a twilight session from 4:30 until 6:30 one evening per week).

Entry Requirements

Barbering - Certificate Commercial Salson Skills (Level 5), or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5.

Applicants who meet the recruitment criteria will be provided with access to a Barbering kit, appropriate protective clothing and textbooks.
