As an Educational Support Assistant, you could have a positive impact on children’s self-esteem and contribute to their learning journey. This course will give you all the skills and knowledge you’ll need to effectively assist in the classroom.

This ESOL Gateway to Educational Support Assistance covers:
Skills for Work: Education Support Assistance national 4 Units (SCQF level 4); Employability units (SCQF level 5); Personal development units (SCQF level 5); Industry recognised qualifications; ESOL for everyday life National 5; Digital Skills.

Entry Requirements

National 4 ESOL (Minimum of 2 units achieved). An interest in working in education. Interview. You will be required to provide evidence of current English level and you may be required to do an assessment to ensure you are offered a class at the correct level.

Progression Routes

Successful students may progress onto childcare and education courses at Glasgow Clyde College.
