This 14-week course will give you skills and knowledge to start your hairdressing journey. You'll be taught in our purpose-built salons by industry-experienced staff. You'll provide basic services for clients and assist with more advanced services delivered to clients. This course will prepare you for progression to study SVQ level 2 Hairdressing.
The course involves:
Prepare for hairdressing services; Basic cutting; Shampooing and conditioning hair; Contribute to the development of effective working relationships; Blow dry hair; Assist with hair colouring services.
No formal entry requirements. Entry is subject to interview.
SVQ Barbering at SCQF Level 5 or SVQ Hairdressing Level 5.
