This is the only programme in Scotland offering an Honours degree in Sports Rehabilitation accredited by the UK regulator and professional body for Sports Rehabilitation. The BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation will produce graduates who are skilled, resilient, autonomous, collaborative, critical and reflective problem solvers, who can make a positive contribution to the health and wellbeing of individuals and society.

Graduates will have the capacity to integrate critical thinking and professional behaviours in order to deliver person-centred, evidence-informed care. They will be committed to continuing professional development and to increasing the awareness and effectiveness of their profession. Graduates will be capable of using research and enterprise skills in leading responses to the changing needs of society. Graduates will demonstrate that they have met the requirements of a Graduate Sports Rehabilitator and be eligible to apply for registration with the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT).

Year 3

Exercise testing and prescription; Understanding and appraising the evidence for practice; Musculoskeletal management in sports rehabilitation 1; Practice-based learning in sports rehabilitation 1; Environment, society and sports rehabilitation; Population, health and lifestyle considerations in sports rehabilitation.

Year 4

Musculoskeletal management in sports rehabilitation 2; Reasoning and decision making in sports rehabilitation; Practice-based learning in sports rehabilitation 2; Leadership and enterprise for practice; Applying skills of critical enquiry (project).
