The BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation has been developed in response to increasing demand from graduates of the HND Sports Therapy for a programme that will allow them to develop a broader understanding of the prevention and management of injury and disease in an exercise and physical activity context.

Within Scotland this course is unique. It is the only programme offering an Honours degree in Sports Rehabilitation accredited by the UK regulator and professional body for Sports Rehabilitation. The BSc (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation will produce graduates who are skilled, resilient, autonomous, collaborative, critical and reflective problem solvers, who can make a positive contribution to the health and wellbeing of individuals and society.

Year 3

Exercise testing and prescription; Understanding and appraising the evidence for practice; Musculoskeletal management in sports rehabilitation 1; Practice-based learning in sports rehabilitation 1; Environment, society and sports rehabilitation; Population, health and lifestyle considerations in sports rehabilitation.

Year 4

Musculoskeletal management in sports rehabilitation 2; Reasoning and decision making in sports rehabilitation; Practice-based learning in sports rehabilitation 2; Leadership and enterprise for practice; Applying skills of critical enquiry (project).
