The beauty industry is booming like never before, and this is your chance to learn the skills and theory you need to become a rising star. This course will give you a valuable insight into the techniques and experience you’ll need - from facials and eye treatments to body massage, waxing, manicures and pedicures - along with a work placement in a salon. There might also be opportunities for external training with spas and prestigious beauty brands such as OPI and Gerrards International.

During this NQ Beautician course, you will study and develop skills in the application of popular beauty treatments such as facials, eye treatments, body massage, waxing, manicures and pedicures.

Commercial work experience is included in this course, which provides valuable insight into the beauty and spa industry. ?

During training you will initially work on fellow classmates and then progress to working on real clients. You will also be required to model for treatments yourself.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 5 including English, or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.

Progression Routes

You could move into jobs in the beauty industry, spas, cruise ships or progress onto further courses to develop your skills further.
