Content

Designed to provide you with a firm foundation for building the skills and knowledge required to pursue a career in hairdressing, this course provides foundation training including basic cutting and colouring which are the key units required within the hairdressing industry.

This is a practical hands-on course where a willingness communicate with people is encouraged as you gain the basic practical skills to enter the industry at Junior Stylist level or progress to further study.

Content Includes:
Consultation in Hairdressing; Shampoo & Conditioning Treatments; Basic Colouring Techniques; Basic Styling Techniques; Wellbeing & Mindfulness; Core Skills: Numeracy, Communication, and Information and Communication Technology; Study mode.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English; or Hairdressing - Introduction to Foundation (Level 4); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4.

You must attend a Course Information Event held prior to the course commencing.
