This new BA (Hons) Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies (RMPS) Education is aimed at those wishing to pursue a career as a teacher in a secondary school. Supported by the Scottish Government, the course has been developed to address the shortage of skilled teachers in this area.

This contemporary and unique course combines academic study in theology, ethics, and philosophy, with vocational training as a teacher within the four-year programme.

The education elements focus on enacting the curriculum and teaching techniques. Additionally, 30 weeks of placement in schools, undertaken during years two, three and four, will provide the benefit of mentoring and experience within a classroom setting.

Entry Requirements

3 Highers at BBC including English plus National 5 Maths. Interview.
