This course builds on the knowledge and understanding gained throughout the HNC where multiple disciplines within the industry are investigated in an academic manner at SCQF Level 8.

Areas covered include: Sports Coaching, Sports Development and a range of Sports Science topics. Learners will have the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills necessary to work as a professional within the sports industry in a variety of contexts.

Learners will visit and participate in a variety of sporting events and festivals and gain additional sports and fitness qualifications.

The course provides learners with the industry-recognised PDA qualification certified by SportScotland/CIMSPA (Level 3 Coaching Framework).

Entry Requirements

HNC Sports Coaching and Development (15 credits); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 7.
