This Make-up Artistry HND provides you with the underpinning knowledge and skills required to work as a make-up artist within the TV, film and theatre industries. You'll learn a range of media make-up and hairstyling techniques necessary to create theatrical, character and special effects looks which will enable you to seek employment as a freelance make-up artist, an assistant to a more senior colleague or work as a member of a make-up design team.

You'll study the following core units:
Make-up Artistry: Postiche for TV, Film and Theatre.
Make-up Artistry: Period Make-up and Hairstyles.
Make-up Artistry: Life Casting.
Make-up Artistry: Character Make-up.
Make-up Artistry: Production Study.
Make-up Artistry: Graded Unit 2.

Additional units will be included to make up the full group award to gain your qualification at HND Level.

Entry Requirements

Relevant HNC. Entry subject to interview, portfolio and practical test.
